College Basketball Tickets

My husband and I are huge college basketball fans. We both attended the University of Kentucky and were part of the athletic program there. Some people call us fanatics when it comes to Kentucky basketball but we bleed blue as we come from a long line of UK fans. For a Kentucky basketball fan the greatest thing in the world is getting to watch the boys play live. Of all the sports tickets there are, Kentucky basketball tickets are one of the hardest to get. Unless you hold season tickets, which cost a small fortune, you have to do some slick talking to get a ticket to any of their home games. Oh, there are tickets out there to purchase from individuals but you would have to sell your soul and your house to be able to afford them.

I stopped using the usual methods of getting tickets and began using a ticket broker to get our basketball tickets every year. Although we would love to go to every game, that’s just not an option with our busy careers, so I picked the five most exciting games we would want to see and put in my order early in the season; actually before the season began. Because I put my order in early the broker was able to fill my order and I didn’t get charged an arm and a leg in the process.

This past season our beloved Wildcats had an extraordinary season. I didn’t think it would be possible, but I contacted the broker I use to see if I could get tickets to the NCAA tournament. I was able to get two tickets to the first round in the tournament and amazingly the cost was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Sports tickets are a scalpers dream and can often inflate the ticket price thousands percent more than the original price. That is what I used to put up with but not anymore. Using the broker has saved me a lot of money and has helped my husband and me to be able to see more games without the usual stress of getting tickets.

I suppose we will remain die-hard Kentucky fans and continue to attend as many games as we can until we are no longer able to fight the crowds. Everybody should have something they are passionate about in their lives and college basketball is our passion. At least we are easy to buy gifts for; we’re always thrilled to get the golden sports tickets for gifts or any type of memorabilia with the Wildcat logo.
